I want to create a group wich has several Slider controls inside the group. So far so good.
But I cannot get an input for my signal (source) path. Actually I need 2 (3) inputs. Setup is attached. The black lines I tried to draw represent the needed inputs into the group. I hope it is clear. best, Beat ![]() The Stone Age did not end because they ran out of stones. Niels Bohr |

As an afterthought : I read that it is not possible to have more than 1 output from a group. This is a pity as it makes the concept of groups a bit limiting.

Not sure if I understand your problem correctly, but...
You can use the Color Control -component to feed input images into the group. Is this what you're looking for? When it comes to multiple group outputs, you can take advantage of the infinite image plane, and output multiple results by offsetting them. I don't think this is often necessary, but anyways, here's an example. group_multi_output_v001.ffxml |

Thanks emme, this helps. At least concerning the inputs.
I have learned some more about groups by fiddling with your suggestions. F.i. that experimenting with control sliders etc. inside the group is not very practical, as you cannot adjust them to see what is happening inside the group. You have to either exit the group or click on the 'Controlled by' link in the cortrol you want to adjust, which also takes you outside the group. But from ouside of the group, you cannot exactly see what the components inside of the group are doing. So, I think it;'s a bit tedious and I am not sure if I will use groups a lot. maybe it is an idea that once the workings of all the parts that would be gouped are working fine, then and only then to group them into a group. Anyway, thanks for solving the input problem. Later I will check out the 'output solution' you suggested. It looks neat, but I am not yet sure if it is general enoiugh for me. I'll look into it as sson as I can. The Stone Age did not end because they ran out of stones. Niels Bohr |
