Hello, I do not think that this is a bug and think that is done this way maybe on purpose
I have this filter 10 Images or Color Stripes Mix V.2.0 When Using any of the 3 or 5 Gradients components or the Profile Gradient, there is a setting value to rotate the result output, BUT this will only work right for the color gradient output, and will not work with images, because if you link a color control to the gradient colors when activating the rotate the image is NOT rotated, what is rotated only the "mask" of the gradient position.
For example Here Skybase has suggested to use these settings, BUT the problem is that when you activate the rotate with images loaded instead of gradients it will happen this shown below BOTH images shown here has exactly the same components and settings, the only difference is the rotate setting that on first one is 0º and on the second here below is 90º ![]() |

As you can see above the stripes images from the first one are NOT rotated with the images, what is rotated is only the position but not the content, as the image source is kept exactly the same.
And this happens in the same way with the Profile Gradient as when rotating it will only rotate the gradient position but NOT the source of the images linked to color 1 or 2 Here below is shown what happens when rotating the profile gradient ![]() |

So I have put this thread to ask if this is how these components has been created and developed and is the right behaviour and they are made this way and that they are NOT made for rotating the images source, only the gradient position, and so it seems that the only way to rotate the images are using the Rotate component although this will disable the seamless tiling.

Also there is an additional "problem" or collateral effect with the rotate inside these components and is that if you use the Offset component before the input of the source as it happens in my filter, it will break even more the images when using the included rotate setting, and it will not allow to have different possible offsets, just only one
![]() Here above you have this image and then if you have applied Offset X to the source images, you will get this result below when activating the rotate inside these components BOTH images shown here in this post has exactly the same components and same settings, the only difference is the rotate setting that on first one is 0º and on the second here below is 90º ![]() |

So considering this above this post that you can´t use different offsets depending on the rotation, I think again that then the only way to use freely and be able able to have multiple presets is to use the Rotate component
I am writing all this thread to know if all this I have put is right and is how is done in the the right way, so the only to rotate the images that you may include in 3 or 5 Color Gradients or Profile Gradient can´t be rotated used the settings inside the component Or if I am doing something wrong and there could be a better way to do this I know and think that maybe the Color Gradients may not have been done thinking on the input of images and only was done especifically for color gradients |

Yes you are correct the gradient does not rotate images this way...The "rotate" on the gradient rotates the gradient...Gradients do not process images, gradients only process themselves...This is the expected behavior since the beginning of FF Time..
3COLOR GRADIENT Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |
