An example of a filter based on this snippet:

Each color map is "pixelated" into square areas. This determines the size of the colored squares within each area.

Craig, you know how the "extract ---" components work? If you move the last slider, "All/C/M/Y/K", you are essentially extracting whichever color you choose. I plugged each extraction directly into the "size" input of a bomber to make the image above.

Hi Indigo Ray

I used recently your filter called "Led Digits". I wonder if you will create one filter with letters in the futur. It would be nice.

Thanks for sharing your work with us. smile;)

You're welcome! smile:) Ghislaine, as a filter maker, the LED Digits filter was an experiment with using gradients as switches for each "light bulb" (simulating real mechanical objects). I could make a filter that does letters, but it could be very tedious. I'll think about it, though.

you lost me, indigo. there are no sliders in the extract components and there is no all/c/m/y/k extract component or anything cmyk that i know of in FF.

I just did Sphinx's filter without scripting, basically, to make it easier for me to modify.

Here's another example of such a modification, a much simpler one. It resembles a printer running out of ink of one color. Here, it ran out of yellow about halfway through.
