Well. For a first couple of filters, these two are pretty darn good !

Thanks a lot Orteil.
I did briefly try Darktree and Mapzone, but at the time I had trouble getting my simple mind around them. Filter forge on the other hand seems a lot more intuitive.
Despite the lack of tutorials, the manual, although short, is very to the point and useful, and the vast resource of available filters to pick apart is staggering.

I'm really liking this program. The only problem I have now is that every time I come up with an idea for a filter, a quick search reveals that around six other people have already had the same idea smile:D

Yeah... Which is why it's interesting to see if you can do it better.

Great filter, but you should go in and enable seamless tiling override as this filter is perfect for making dirt overlays for old town buildings (just turn the result 180 degrees smile;-) I'll post a picture soon.

Otherwise everyone will do that them self and then you wont get any usage as the changed filter wont report with the correct filterID.

Like this:
Rendered a texture then rotated it 180, then used this filter to add the grunge (added seamless tiling).
Then rotated it back .

Thanks for the tip Totte.
I wasn't sure if the seamless override just worked on individual machines, or whether the setting followed along with the filter.
I will make the changes and re-upload.

P.s. Glad you liked it. smile;)
