This is my first filter, so it is pretty simple, but I didn't see this effect anywhere else in the library and I know that I will use this filter even if nobody else does. Does anyone know how to let the user choose arbitrary angles? With the sliders, I seem to only be able to generate 0 and 90. So, I left it as a checkbox for now, but I would love to upgrade this filter so that I could do any angle. I did see the arbitrary angle snippet, but that appears to rotate the image and I want to rotate the cylinder effect.

If you're using 2.0, you can just toss the effect through a Rotate node before blending with the image, for the controls, just use the "Angle" control.

I tried the Rotate node on the gradient linked to Angle control but it doesn't allow any angles but 0 or 90. It also throws an error message that I'm using the wrong kind of control.

He means under the "Transform" section with offset and scale there's a rotate node (the nodes are the boxes with inputs and outputs)
