If anyone reads this.. quick question.. So this filter looks much different in the program for me. When it tiles, it loses tons of information. Does anyone know why?

It's the upper cell component... the one that stripes horizontally and feeds into a noise distortion. It turns black when you turn tiling on (I have no idea why though).
But just replace it with a Noise Gradient (which way faster too).

Speaking of speed... there are various points where the speed in this filter can be improved without significant loss of detail.

All filters are always rendered with "Seamless Tiling" forced on for the Filter Library, so that's why it looks different on the webpage.
