I'm convinced with this one. smile8)
Just a suggestion: What if you added a HSB distortion for the color input?
Also, I noticed you had an unnecessary assemble RGB, blend, and blur, but deleting them didn't make it faster, so you can leave them.

to me, this looks more like aged concrete, concrete that is losing its bond. regardless, it's got a nice grit to it that shld prove quite useful. well done!
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Thanks. It started as a paper texture but got too interesting to leave there.

I wasn't sure what to call it. To me, it looks like some sort of masonry that has been slattered on with a trowel.

I'm curious what advantage does an assemble HSB have over the color input?

Hey, very nice! Looks like really weathered concrete to me, or more specifically concrete which has started to effloresce (which is the salt and minerals leeching out of the concrete).
Might be nice with a bit more color variation; but the basic noise looks terrific.

It looks great but you have some construction foibles that could speed things up a bit if fixed. Might want to check this article out: http://www.filterforge.com/wiki/index...nstruction
