Sweet!
Regarding the 'bright coin colors' problem: You could disassemble the coin color via channel extracts and use tone curves to remap it to a usable range. I've done something like that for the color input of this filter to keep the color randomization under control. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Thanks Patrick!
Thanks very much Crapadilla; I'm going to give that a try and if I get it working, I'll update the filter. I appreciate the advice as I'm just beginning. I also wish that my bump and normal maps would have included the horizontal edges of the coins. Maybe I can get that working later. |

You're welcome!
That obviously is an understatement, judging from the way you go about contructing your filter tree... --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

----Ooo, are all the connector *wires* perfectly straight ? I haven't seen that kind of anal retentiveness outside of my own filters in a while. I may have to download this one just to take a peak ha-ha.

I hate having wires cross. Straightness isn't as important to me.
But back on topic- fantastic coins. The subtle effects you used to give them grain and detail are really spot-on. This filter will be real useful for "tech" tubes in addition to just coin stacks. |

I checked this one out over the weekend, pretty cool, but what really struck me is how it only barely even needs the lighting/surface stuff. In other words, it looks 80%+ as good as a flat/simple filter really.
