"You may want to try changing the profiles of the noises, with interesting effects.", and you didn't put an Int_Slider control to give us 5 easy/instant choices for noise patterns why then ? Here's why it matters = if someone changes your filter, it has to be re-saved, then you get no credit for the usage. If you bought FF, then who cares, but if you didn't, then you should care, you'll get no HU's telling us how your filter should be changed eh. Just saying. smile:D

Yeah, I'll make an update for it.

I wanted to make a dropdown box to select it, but then found out that there was no option.

Yeah, the "Switch" components (curves and processing) should have this ability..... smile:|

I want to add multiple opacity masks (noise 1, noise 2, constant color, background image), but I'm not sure how would I make a IntSlider do this:
1: Noise 1
2: Noise 2
3: Background Image
4: Constant Color

If anyone knows, could someone please make a snippet or something? It would be much easier if there was an IF node (which there should have been =/)

IF node

That's a good idea!!! An if/then argument/condition node on components.....sure would simplify things in comparison to having multiple switch branches.....and dramatically speed things up.....might take some work, but worth posting in the Feature Wishlist..... smile:devil:

I've been looking for a feature wishlist, but couldn't find it - could you point me in the right direction, please?

Speaking of features, I really miss a "rotate" filter, too...

Oh and separator + description control nodes (description would have no output, but would allow you to enter text for the settings, say to put below an item)

And the obvious - dropdown box.

BTW, would it be possible to reset the preview images & change the program category on an already existing item (to misc)?
Because this thing has outgrown simply being a snippet (and I got more plans with it), and I've added tons of presets that look much better than the current previews.

Or should I simply make a new one and append "v2"?

It's a string catagory right above this on the main forum page....and there is also a WIKI string for feature requests inside at the top of it.....

There's a couple snippet filters that do that.....just type in "rotate" in the filter search.....

It would be a hell of alot better than blind/experiment-to-find-out switches.....

No.....FF controls that.....but a file management system in "My Filters" would remedy that..... smile:devil:

Yeah, that's the best way to do it right now.....

Okay, submitted v2... Might be confusing, because it is indeed exactly the same as v1.

Regarding the IntSlider for multiple settings...
Do you have any idea how to do a switch of sorts with the current nodes?

Like, if set to 1, follow a completely different path than if set to 2.

it's on the list already.

is on the list but isnt going to happen. vladimir says something like it's too sloppy coding or long or something along those lines.

you can re-submit a filter and give it a new name. you can also change the presets and re-submit with those. but, to change categories, i think it entirely up to whoever is handling the library. you'd have to contact FF for that, i think. it might be an option if you re-submit, so check it out, but i think not.

you can also submit an updated version without overwriting the old one. just pick the option in the upload menus for 'this is a new filter', or however that reads.

oh, and for switching, use the switch component. it's in the components list under 'Processing'. just scroll down to find it.
