Ha!
Yeah, as soon as Constintine put up the knitted fabric, I knew someone would do a picture knit filter. I had one, but decided that it was too close to the orginal to post. This one does a bit more than mine did, though. |

Hello,
Thanks for liking it so far - I know I have a lot of use for it myself and may find ways of adding to it! StevieJ - wow ha ha one of my filter forge heroes - I am quite sure the actual knitting part of the filter that was originally and beautifully constructed has in no way been improved with me tinkering with it! But I did feel it was not simply good enough to plug in the image to it as the results were a little poor - this is why I called on comic book by Vladimir Golovin which distills the image a bit and helps lose some of the details - its also handy to tweak so it looks like the image sits in the knit properly. Both of these filters are firm favourites of mine. Working on some graphics at Project Isabella Graphic Workshop

Very clever.....and works perfectly to make the image look like it has been done in the knit material!!! ![]() Steve

i used this one again last night and for the life of me, i cant figure out why this didnt get an editor's pick. it's fast, it's clean, the size, pixels sliders works correctly. this is an excellent filter!

Hi Craig
Thanks for saying that. I hope you get to use it often and enjoy it. I still have lots of plans for it myself and time just whips by. Glad you came back to it. It (and my other knit enhancements) were actually produced months before the one that did get the Editors Pick but then I guess he did make the original and it was a lovely bit of filtering to work with. I really enjoyed working with it. Thanks again for the comment. Take Care Working on some graphics at Project Isabella Graphic Workshop

The original plain knitting is Constantin Malkov's it really is a nice bit of work and then I created this filter and some patterns to go on it and then he did the same himself a few months later but his had all of my sort of things in it and some more all in one filter - very nice. His got editors pick.
So it went like this This was created by Constantin First knit Then I did this Knit this pic and this argyle and this patterns I did a stripy one too and then a few months on Constantin excelled and produced this Knitting patterns There you go the history of knitting on filter forge -- I loved the way because he is a filter forge superstar everyone rushed to comment on how they could now knit their images and how exciting a concept it really was when I'd been doing it for months and they could have too - he even used the same technique of using comic book filter if you read how its done -- just like I did. I'm just not famous enough ![]() I owe a lot of my filter learning to Constantin - seriously take his filters apart and you will see a great mind at work.
