I'm already working to speed this up and get rid of some of the floating mortar, but please still play around with it and let me know what you guys think and if you think anything else needs added or fixed.
Actually, this is an older version (I got an unaccepted email for the new one), I must have submitted it and didn't remember. So an update is definitely on the way.

Well...similar in concept, but the guts look a bit different, The workings in mine are simpler so hopefully it has faster rendering (and mine has a drop shadow LOL)

Alot of nice looking bricks.....
I would suggest a switch for solid brick walls that can be used as textures..... Steve

Yeah, I saw that one. I think mine is substantially different and has a much more realistic (IMO) look, which is why I made it. Rawn's is great for a more stylized look. And yeah, I'm sure yours renders faster, mine is really freaking slow right now (but I'm working on that). No hole is actually possible, it just wasn't a preset so maybe it's not obvious how, but I will include that in the update also.

Looking good but the one comment with both version if you can get depth to the bricks as in the side faces in the opening would be cool - cf is got a little perspective box he is working on which maybe would give you the answer to the hows

I thought it did, that's a big part of why it takes so long to render. Am I not understanding what you mean by depth or is there some way I could make it more apparent? I have the depth kind of limited, perhaps in another update I will open up the limit a bit, maybe thats it?

Okay, submitting another (hopefully final) version. Added more depth, fixed mortar staying on the edges, a control for the mortar chunk size, and some other little tweeks to hopefully speed it up a tiny bit more (except that the new control might negate that).
