Hi Arialina,
I'm glad to see that you were inspired by my "Alien Window" filter to make one of your own. Adding that extra kaleidoscope component after the distortion really gives it a different look, which I like, and the flat black leading shows off the colours particularly well.

Hey, Arialina,
I'm sorry if my post of last night sounded a little snarky -- it was late, and I'm a little territorial about my filter work. The thing about Filter Forge politeness is true, but I should have been nicer about pointing it out, as you're new to Forging.  Sorry!
But I really do like this one. Your changes do give it a completely different look from "Alien Window," and the resulting patterns are lovely. Some of them make me think of Art Nouveau or Arts and Crafts style, which are my particular favourites.

Oh, I'm sorry, ScaryKitty. You're absolutely right. In fact, I planned on adding the credits to the description right before submitting the filter, but it seems I forgot to add it (I wrote that part in a separate text editor). I'm going to update the filter with the credits right now.
I haven't been able to be on the computer all this time and that's why I'm reading these comments now. I wasn't ignoring you. Thank you for your kindness and comments! |
