Ah that's normal, it's your shadows and the checkerboard. If you want rid of it also put the checkerboard checkbox to the white color of the checker component (no remapping nescesary).
If I were you I'd also finetune the shadow a bit. I wouldn't blur it so much and also give it a slight downward offset. It doesn't really look like a shadow right now. |

Hmm.. doesn't look normal to me, looks like some FF internal repaint optimizer going crazy. Anyways shouldn't the diffusemap contain the alpha also?
Right - Initially I was going for more of a outer glow sort of effect.. got away from finetuning it as a shadow - I'll look into that some time later.. |

Alpha does that... I've also seen it in plain old png exports by Photoshop.
No the diffusemap doesn't contain the alpha, in FF self you can also render the alpha map separately, but this is not shown on the filters page. If you'd also render alpha into the diffuse map you could get weird halos in the end result. That's why the alpha in the diffuse is even black. |

Sphinx, do you have your 3 HU's yet ? I'm half drunk on new years and I just wanted to make sure you have your 3 in, if not and your time runs out hit me back, and if ya already do, then well, no real surprise at all eh.

I kindly thank you (and all the others that offered to transfer HU's) - it was not going to be necessary: three more just bumped in (7 now) so that should be enough..

Ok just realized that the "Free lifetime upgrade" option probably don't cover the trial version (when I received the confirmation mail
 ) - wrote to the support, hopefully they'll take back the order.. sigh.. they should state clearly that the trial version is not covered by that option (if that turns out to be the case) |

Yeah, apparently it's 5 HU's *after* you use 3 to get the full version. That is a bit wonky in the description/order page, and could use better clarification there. I'm sure Bella or FF support can help get it straightened out for you though if you email them using the contact form.
