just one suggestion here. you've got an inner frame and outer frame you can play with on frames. i'd suggest making the inner frame a solid and put your pattern on the outer frame. that would define the pattern a bit more. you could even put the pattern on the margin and use both inner and outer frame for bordering.
oh, and welcome to Filter Forge  If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Thanks! I am having a lot of fun with this Filter Forge thing, it is an amazing tool! I appreciate the pointers and will update this sooner or later, right now I am still like a kid in a candy store. Hard to focus on one particular thing.

Kraellin, I made the tweak you suggested...what a huge difference! I was amazed at the effects I was able to get afterwards. I also added in a toggle switch for the frame contents alpha so now it can also be used as a beaded fabric or a background like on Larry King live...my husband thought that was what it was when he first seen it.
