You guys are so great! smile:D Keep in mind Steve that it was you that told me to go in this direction so I can blame you if it flops.

BTW Persidio if you have any trouble getting the filter to take try preset 19 and 20 I added those for very difficult (very non-lifesaver-like) images. To get rid of the paper set the color to white.

I am working on a charcoal with chalk pastels currently. I hope to learn enough doing that one to come back and tighten this one up a bit.

thanks

I was able to do a major overhaul of this filter. Here is what has changed:

Made backrun and color flow much easier to control
Added pigment granulation
Combined two controls
Added canvas texture control
Eliminated Canvas blending
Made control labels more consistent
Eliminated several redundant components
Reset and changed presets
Reworked blending order for less color interaction between canvas texture and image
Rewrote description

Basically it is easier to control and more predictable.

The outspread arms
The come-hither motion
The bear hug
The roll across the floor

And the best part – the part that made it all worth while…

Repeat!

Very cute smile:D

Another nice 'artsy' filter for my collection. That sample you showed is what made me download it, Rawn. Thanks for the extra pic, it's amazing how a filter can look so different from one picture to another. I'll enjoy this one smile:D

Yes - the lifesaver has some serious limitations. I would like to see a few more images or maybe a montage with the lifesaver in the middle and a landscape, portrait, low key and high key image in each corner.
Let me know if you want any changes made to the filter.

Thanks

Maybe you could pop this suggestion into the Wish List forum? I wouldn't mind seeing that sort of preview pic myself with a little bit of this and that you described above, (((Ron))) smile;)

Persidio these are wonderful. You have such good taste. I love the flower variations and I have downloaded the original. I will use every chance I get. The horses are excellent - something about this filter with rural settings. smile:bunny: smile:deer:

You know, I’m a little surprised the presets are working as well as they are. The way the filter was designed should, theoretically (and by theoretically I mean ‘in my mind’), require a different color level setting for each image.

Thanks so much for making the filter look so good. smile:D

Okay Ron smile:D Going to use one of my computer mouse drawings... no wacom tablet ... painted by hand with the computer mouse for the samples.

These images are copyright as all my images and photos are. I do use my maiden name inital on my art. The J is for Jean... the H is for my maiden name. And also I've put Persidio on these so that no one is confused. The mouse drawings take anywhere from two weeks to a month to create.

Ron, I honestly thought I had done a sample for this one... but I don't see anything here from me. I know I intended to because I love 'arty' filters. So here's one I did up tonight for you.

p.s. to anyone else, if I said I was going to do one and didn't please remind me... I don't bite smile;)

You know Persidio maybe it’s just me but these look like some of the sacred works from seventeenth century Italy. I have not seen the original so I don't now how much is the filter and how much is your painting but you have found very effective way to demonstrate this filter.

Thank you

I thought so too, Watercolors were my first real medium to work in so I love the effect. And anything that uses a nice dark outline makes a nice combo I always thought. Must be why I loved coloring books smile;)

You surprised me when you wrote that...

As you know this image was started with a solid white canvas.

This woman seen here is the main character in a fictional novel I'd been working on.. 'The Dreadnaught Files'...

She is half Italian~ smile:D smile:D smile:D

You have a good eye Ron! I'm floored you could pick up on that from the filtered image. This filter works very well with the mouse painting!

No, Steve used some of his HUs to get me this. In all these months only one was ever labeled HU.

Obviously either I have pissed someone off to where mine will never be allowed to be labeled HU or my filters just aren't good enough. Why do you think I have slowed way down on making filters and mainly just update my old ones.

I'm not bummed out.

Then maybe I should do an uuk and copy someone's HU photo filter and change the color. I'm thinking one of Steve's filers. smile:D

I think you did a lot more than just change a color on one of his filters. I'm talking about doing a complete uuk on the HU filters. Grab some of the best, change a setting and pass it off as my own work. smile:D

Sorry I ruined the mood.

I'm glad you will be back now. I missed seeing your creations.
