I like how this turned out and that it can be applied over a picture. I would want to have this as a tube so I was wondering if you would add the switch to make the background transparent when saved, please. smile:)

Hi Ahimsa...glad you like it smile:)
I'm not sure what you need exactly to make this a PSP Tube. I would just put it on a transparent layer and make a tube for it that way, unless I'm misunderstanding something about the process smile:?:

Download one of my tube filters and you will see the switch and image components and how they are hooked up.

Thanks Ahimsa

I took a look at your medallion and saw the Switch you mentioned.
Having applied it to my Leafy Canopy II the image background no longer appears in the preview window. I'm wondering how others are going to get an idea just what this filter will look like over an image they wish to use it with if their picture doesn't show up under my Leafy Canopy?

I really appreciate the help, I'm never too old to learn new tricks smile;)

Am attaching the results of the Switch applied against my filter without it:

I just looked at one I have and to get the life preserver to show you need to have a minimum of 3 selections on that switch with the image component being one of the options. So, one would be transparent, two could be with the image, and three could just be a color for a background.

Let me make a little sample filter for you. smile:)

Hopefully I am adding this right. Go ahead and plop this in your filter and then unhook my stuff and add yours. smile:)

Ok, thanks for this... it will come in handy smile:D

If you have tried this inside Leafy Canopy yourself (please do if you haven't) there is something that I noticed that is lost in the change, and that's the textural depth my leaves have before adding your little Transparency filter.

What the problem is, I think, you used a Simple Filter Result whereas I use the Surface Filter Result that give me the added texture to the leaves. Your Simple Filter Result does what you want it to but it also removes the texture of the leaves. Though I tried to use your Transparency filter with my Surface Result window intact the lifesaver then becomes grainy.

Have you checked that out yet? I can't seem to get that removed while fiddling around with your Transparency filter

You can change it from simple to surface. I just left it as simple because I wasn't making anything with the filter. Just plug the switch into the height thing.

I'll check it out right now. smile:)

I think I might have found a way to get what you want and what I want with your Transparency filter in place.

Instead of Image for position 1 on the Switch I put the color Black there.
My final Chaff image that originally was connected to the Surface Filter Result I have now moved to position 2 on the Switch, and following that the color White on the 3rd position. This seems to work just fine for me, it keeps the texture of the leaves and the image is as it should be, untouched by the filters.

Try this and see. If you can use it this way I'll resubmit my filter with this change so you and others can use it more easily smile:)

Me too

I have it a different way from yours. I am attaching it here. I need to lay down, but I will try it the way that you have it when I get up. This filter now has my name because I saved the changes, that's just how FF does it. The original is still in your name.

Nice leaves, but -- this filter takes forever to render, even on a dual-core machine!

very cool. seems i missed this.

this one could be sped up. replacing some of the chaffs (not the last one) with perlins helps and the two blurs and the motion blur also seem like they could be lost.

but regardless, nice filter!
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
