Variation #8 is an awesome effect!!!
 I would suggest adding perlin niose to create jagged edges around the burn holes.....

There is actually a slider that allows you to control the roughness around the edges, just no presets showing this off I guess... Or at least I think that is what the "neatness" slider does....
