----Since there was kind of a flood of updated filters and some new ones too, I thought I'd just post a quick note here about this one. No need to comment really, just wanted to make sure people wouldn't totally miss it, and to mention what the updates were. smile:)
----This V2 update adds 2 new controls *Shadow Flip*, and *TC Mode*, and changes the *TC Invert Flip* mode internally to look a bit different/better. Also 6 new presets have been added, to show off the extended range of effects made possible by this update.

It's a great example of what an update can do for a filter. smile:D

You can use them to buy the program for others who are not making filters here? If so then I hope I can get enough HUs to buy this for my son. smile:)

----Yeah, for every 3 HU's, you can get another license for the program, and you can either install it on another computer (of your own), or give it to someone. I gave one to an internet friend who does graphic arts for work, he hadn't even had time to check it out yet (I had told him about it last winter), but I know he'll use it, and it's good advertisement for FF in a way, and might bring new filters to the library eventually. smile:)

Well, unless you (anyone) are making just amazing or amazingly useful filters, then your best bet, is to update the ones you have made. While some quantity can help (for instance, I have 95 or so filters up, and 12 or 13 HU ones from those) theoretically, if you make good filters, or update them enough until they are good (and some promotion on the forums here never hurts it seems), then you could make 6 filters, and earn 2 copies of FF with 6 HU filters in time. This would probably be better put in that other forum thread about attaining HU filters, but anyways.

Coming up for air .. working an update... jffe I'm having a really hard time with the update and can't make up my mind... don't want to say what filter it is right now.. but I could really use some advice...

I have quite a few filters on the verge of HU's... and no low filters. The one I'm working on now I think could go HU if only I could get the update right... struggling with the update... Right now I have two versions saved for the update. Can't make up my mind... and to be honest.. I'm not too happy with either possible versions.

don't want to say what filter it is... I will say it has lots of downloads. I tried to update it already and I botched the update, I should have left it alone because it was better before the last update. Since you are soooo good with updates, do you have any basic advice? I'm going to put it down for a bit then come back to it.

Umm, well, ya have 99 filters,

LOL

Like that old song,,, '99 bottles of beer on the wall'... except for it's '99 filters in the library'...'take one down pass it around, 98 filters in the library'... okay... bad joke...

I'm okay... had a break thru after asking for help. The biggest choice appeared to be whether or whether not to let the image show thru... two very different directions. I'll email you quickly and let you know which one it is... and you'll understand my pain~ LOL

It's true I normally know exactly what direction I want to take... this was a tough one. ((thanks jffe))

P.S. You have email~ smile:)

----I just got back on the computer here after being half busy, and half avoiding eyestrain this weekend. Looks like you finished up your Dollies filter, good going, and sorry I wasn't much help there, I just dunno how those are supposed to look, or at least how you wanted it to look. I think I'ma try and stick to making suggestions after people have made a version and totally have the look they want already, I = still not a good guesser in that way ha-ha. smile:)

Well I'm still not happy and have another idea... so... back to square 1. Was fighting a migraine from eye strain last week... good to take a break from the computer screen. Sorry I was so rushed when I emailed you... I'd been wanting to see that movie for some time and Revelation was waiting on me. Oh I used your tone suggestion from a tip you gave me on another filter. You were a big help.

I have an idea though... so.. keep an eye on that one this week and I'll see if I can't pull a rabbit out of a hat ... so to speak.

Working on another filter at the moment.. an update for an old favorite.

Back to 'your' filter 'Neon Shift'... we need some samples... desperately. This is an AWESOME filter... smile:D smile:D smile:D Sorry, I didn't mean to ask for help in one of your filter comment areas... my bad.

----No worries, as long as that "cheeky" stuff doesn't start up in here ha-ha smile:p

----And wow, watch out for the bloodbath robot huh, that really really turned it red, crazy. smile:) (And sorry to keep advertising more filters ha-ha, but you might try http://www.filterforge.com/filters/3950.html or http://www.filterforge.com/filters/3984.html or even http://www.filterforge.com/filters/3896.html for some futuristic-ish recoloring looks with some *grunge* eh. I like the shiny stuff a lot, but some rust and a few dents never bothered me none, it's not like I ever bought a car off the new side of the lot ha-ha. smile:D )

People can actually buy them new? Unscratched? smile:D I am so used to used vehicles that I don't know how I would react to a new one.

Does that filter do other colors than red? I didn't notice.

----Err, well, it does add some red, especially if the gamma is up and yer pic had red/orange in it to begin with, but it's not supposed to really turn everything that red. It must've translated the brownish background color to red, maybe try a couple other presets and see what it does ? No worries either way, it sure changed yer pic. smile:)
