This filter is designed to produce techno-organic construction elements. Partially science, partially natural, totally alien!

ah, i like this one. now, if you could get the 'veins' to be all one color and different from the background, that would be even cooler. i see some dark, blood red veins... that would just make this thing stand out. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

well...this one was supposed to be more like circuitry than veins. I can easily make a veined version if I blend this and my early varicose filter.
I will get on something like that.

well, that one's good too, but it's really a different look. i was thinking more with the current posted filter. being able to turn the raised portion to another new color that would make it stand out from the background. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

What I would recmomend is taking a look at how some folks have taken noise and made scratches with them straight scratches would be easiest to produce --then apply a noise-defrom to make it look like veins lets all whine for a wine port

Neat concept.....I like that you can see the fine noise detail in the surface of some of them...... Steve

I agree! One thing that caught my interest was the apparent paradox in the name and nature of the filter since techno and organic are generally polar opposites, ahahaha, might make for a very interesting look on science fiction genetically engineered monsters (Errr... I prolly have as story of mine somewhere in there that contributes to my bias, ahaha ^_^) -Zephos
