This is the first of a range of simple noise generator snippets that I'll release soon.
Note that since the techniques presented in these snippets will generally be 'common' knowledge for advanced filter builders (they're meant as basic to intermediate tutorials), I'd discourage giving credit when using parts of these snippets in your own filters. We don't want to clutter the filter descriptions too much with unnecessary praise! ![]() --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

this could come in handy for retouching and restoration of old pics. seems odd, but sometimes adding noise to a 'dirty' picture can sometimes clean it up. so, i'll be interested in looking at this one closer later on.

After trying it, I thought it would be excellent for cloth textures

yup, i could easily see making textures from this and saving them to my psp textures folder to use with other effects there.

I've started to make some new textures with this. The simplicity is a great extra sheen atop other layers of grit.
I'm enjoying using Filter Forge to create http://torley.com/textures |

Good render. And it's good to see that people find this useful.
[Also note that it is officially 'uberzev approved'! (see above) ![]() ![]() --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |
