Nice filter. smile:)
I also especially appreciate it as a filter to learn filter-creation techniques from. Crapadilla's similar Woodcraft filter had a little too much to digest all at once for me. (No insult intended to either of you -- they're both great!)

jits,

i like it, but i'd love to see a bit more 'carving' on the wood... rougher. get some real depth to it and strong divisions in the carved and uncarved. if you've ever run a chisel or a gouge on wood, you'll know what i mean. and it shldnt be all that way; some you'd want more finished.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Interesting idea. You should be able to simulate that with your source image, but I might be able to add some optional effects like that.

Ok, I added a chisel slider that allows you to tweak the image to look more like a rough carving. Enjoy!

I've tried downloading this one several times, and I get an error "Filter download failed. Reason: 'get_filter_xml(2112, 2) failed.'."

So... Maybe there's a bad line of code having to do with the file location or something?

Hi Honor,Welcome to the forum. I just downloaded this filter and it worked fine. What browser are you using? I'm on Firefox. I use to have trouble with other browsers loading some of the filters (cough cough Explorer cough ) smile:D Try another browser and see if that works.

Though most filters loaded fast and fine, I ended up having this issue on just a few others, as well, which made me think maybe it was my browser, or a hiccup in my connection or something.

I'm using Chrome right now, but I have Firefox and Edge running as well. I'll try those if I don't get it sorted.

Thank you smile:)
