WARNING! PLEASE Do not judge this filter by looking just to the tumbnail and presets variation, there IS MUCH MORE than this filter can do, and I want that you really find the MAGIC inside this filter looking at the settings and discovering the real truth and where the magic of this filter lives (please read the bold black letters below to know what I think that the magic really is)

The thumbnail offered and all the presets are for me misleading and could make you think that this is a SIMPLE and normal filter and thought AT FIRST that this was a nice and great filter to make textured crosshatch lines overlay and backgrounds and thought that there was NO magic in this and just was a curious name.

BUT then after trying this with OTHER images I really FOUND THE MAGIC of this filter.

I loaded another image and the garlic and onion were still showing smile:?:
How can this be if I have loaded a NEW image and so this would replace the original buillt in image ? smile:?: smile:?:
Then loaded another different built in image and found that there were TWO built in images smile:?:
So I went to the settings AND there I found the MAGIC smile:D

The idea really of this filter is a clever and original way to use the color source of another image to be used to paint the one you load as main image, and convert this main image to black and white outlines to be able to use the real and original colors of the second source of the colors.

WOW!! This is MUCH better than just a simple crosshatch filter texturer.

Now I will have to see how to get the most of this and how to combine the two images in a good way and put some examples

THANKS VERY MUCH for the original idea.

ONE POSSIBLE SUGGESTION

From my own point of view, I think that it would be better if you change some of the presets to show better the MAGIC of your filter, and show that is not ONLY the onions and the well done crosshatch textures available in this filter and there is MUCH MORE than can be possibly done with this filter. Combine two built in images or something like that to show the Magic.

SpaceRay, fantastic suggestion! I was up late when I posted this one and i looked at it after I read your post and thought...geez, those are not the best previews...HEE!

So, Thanks mate! I appreciate that… Also glad that you like the filter and enjoy the magic we worked hard to put in for you.

P.s. I can assure you that despite the fact this filter DOES potentially contain, (up to the allowed 2percent), “powdered gnome matter and other magical debris”, it will not harm any of the creatures that live nearby your house or place of business. Unless you should attempt to feed bits of it to them, in which case they might suffer some ill effects. However, we cannot be held liable for misuse of our filters in this manner. Note: Not effective on pets.

Again, Thank you mate! smile;-)

Thanks to you for making the filter.

It is not a good thing to submit and make the presets when you are up until late and you are not well waked up smile;) smile:D

I have just seen the new updated filter with the new previews and I am very sorry to say that I still think the same, with the new presets STILL looks like a filter to add a beautiful crosshatch over the image source, I CAN¨T see the magic happen in the presets, and is not found there, so they are still misleading.

Also the description I am sorry to say that it does not help much either to understand the magic and what the filter REALLY does and what can be done and how it is done.

In the presets you should use the MAGIC of combining two different images to show really what the filter does.

Here I have made some preset example I would suggest that combines two images and shows what REALLY this filter can do and it´s magic.

And this too to see that the original is NOT with the same colors as the REAL one inside FF and that the source color comes from the second image

And is not the same to have the same photo as source than as the main one

This is the onions and garlic as secondary photo and as source for the colors as opposite to the above that this is the main

And another possible combination that does not look very good but shows that you can have both images and the second is the source color

AND Also show as you have already done that you can have BOTH main image and source the SAME and so you the beautiful crosshatch overlay texture you have done.

I have to say that I am not in any way forcing you to change the presets, this probably could be taken this way, but this is YOUR OWN filter and of course you can decide what to show in your filter and the presets that you want to have.

This is just my own personal point of view, and I think that this is a great filter BUT many probably could not really understand and find the REAL MAGIC of this filter and be wrongly thinking that this is only a nice crosshatch effect filter and is much more than that.

If you have worked much to create the MAGIC, is important to let know HOW to use this magic by others

Looks like a very good filter!
It can combine the power of crosshatching and colorizing the crosshatch.

The kingfisher+lionfish example shows what I mean smile:)
