WOW! This is about the same as the Fake comic book filter but without the Comic boxes, and looks also really awesome great as the other one, and of course it also deserves the EP given.
Thanks very much for making this alternative also as it is ALSO very interesting and useful. |

And also some flowers converted with this filter changing some of the settings as the result would be too light and less defined with the default preset 1.
Like that you can adjust the colors by INK CMYK like in the real comic press needed ![]() I really do NOT like most of the presets included, the only useful I like is the first one, and is the one that gives the best effect. ![]() |

Awesome stuff inujima
![]() I was thinking... there should be a slider that does like... printing accuracy. for example, old comics don't have the best inking precision and you end up with cool stuff like this ![]() I'm pretty sure it's because the outline is printed first, then the color is added later on after some slight movement has happened ![]() Roses are #FF0000
Violets are #0000FF All my base are belong to you. |

It's a printing process error.
Each color is applied to a different plate, and the paper runs through 4 plates (C,M,Y,and K). If the plates are missaligned, you get this effect. On the image you posted, it's clear that the Cyan plate is offset to the left. If you want this kind of effect, check out my first filter - Ye Olde Printing Press That was designed specificly for this (and other printing problems). |

I love this filter but cannot seem to render it, getting an error "<class XFW::Kernel::StdException> bad allocation" every time. Do you know what I need to do to fix this? Thank you in advance. I love your work!

Yeah, buy FF 4.0 (we hope) ![]() You can also try to use FF in plugin mode, through photoshop or any other hos that can use .8bf plugin files. The allocation error is a memory management bug, and sometimes it helps if some of the memory is managed by the host program. Hope this helps. If not, the only other solution is to use a smaller image. |

Thank you. I was originally having this problem while using FF3 within photoshop, so I uninstalled FF entirely, then tried to reinstall it and now I no longer have FF3 within PS. I have only FF1 w/o any of my filters. I found the stand-alone FF3 on my computer and have been using it, but get the same errors. My computer is brand new so I really don't know what is wrong but am very sad, as there are several epic filters (such as this one) that I can preview but not fully use.

Look on the forum, there's an explanation on how to get FF3 back into PS plugins.
The bad allocation error has nothing to do with you computer. It's an FF bug. |
