WOW!! This a very original and very beautiful and wonderful complex texture you have made !!!!
I really love it much as I like very much complex and intrincated textures !!! ![]() And is better seen in a seamless tiling ! ![]() Thanks very much for making this great textures BE ABLE TO DEFINE YOU OWN COLORS ? Although I like the idea of using the Hue/Saturation slider to make the colors and is well done, I want to suggest it it would be possible to have also the choice of choosing and limiting the colors to your own personal selection. I mean if there could be a way to have the scribbles texture made perhaps only with blue, red and yellow, or only red, grey, black and white, or any other simple combination of 3 to 5 colors. For example like the preset number 7 that is limited in colors as shown below, BUT also the above suggestion is to combine and intricated texture mixing the webs into a complex texture but using only your choosen colors. ![]() |

Spaceray ... I agree that better color control would be nice with this filter, but I don't think I could get the same kinds of texture if I did that. This is a pretty simple filter, but it depends very much on blending modes and edge detection of a blur to get it's results. Even if I added color inputs, they would not allow final color control because of those color affecting nodes. I use a Hue and Saturation node in almost all my filters (I wish everyone did. It would save me a lot of after filtering Photo Shop work) and in this case I had hoped that would be enough color control. Thanks much for your comments and If I can come up with a filter that works more like you prefer I will upload it ..... Also I really like your examples. I like that you show the advantage of saturation control by illustrating with grayscale textures ....

Ghistaine ... Checked out your sphere example and as I said in that thread it looks better than mine. Kinda funny that we both used the same preset. It looks like a ball with a sweater on. I'm glad you liked the texture. I don't often upload texture filters because I have never got much usage from other ones that I have. I use texture in most everything I do, so I like making those kinds of filters. Guess I'll have to think about uploading more. Thanks for your comments and example.

Yer, you have to upload more. I love textures and I usually use texture in most of my creations. I'm glad that you like the sphere. You will be able to do some, just check your mail...

Gene your variation #2 looks just like a carpet my Grandma use to have. Only it was blue. It was very tightly woven and had all the different shades of blue spread through it just like your filter. As Ghislaine said, please upload more. I love textures too, and all the bright colors.
![]() SpaceRay your first three examples look like black light poster. Very 60's looking. ![]() |
