Imagine an aerial view of rugged terrain. Now imagine that terrain covered with a gradient instead of rock, trees, grass, etc. Lastly, imagine that gradient eroded so the smaller items are smoothed out, leaving only a rugged, yet smooth surface. That's what this filter does. Also included just for fun is a kaleidoscope option, which creates some interesting 3D patterns.
