Description
This filter was designed primarily for generating hex grids (for games and other purposes), but it can also generate a variety of star, disk, jack, cube, and fuffly floral patterns, using hex-grid placement. This filter is purely node-based, and uses no code. It supports both point-up and flat-up hex orientations.IMPORTANT NOTE FOR SEAMLESS TILING:You can't do seamless tiling of a hex-grid with a square image. You will want to use a ratio of 3-to-3.464, where the short side aligns with the hexagon flat edge, and the long side is the one that the point points towards. For example, if you have Point Up checked, you could use an image with a size of 860x750 to make a tiling hex grid image. You will still need to select a scale that works.
