Description
The classic Mandelbrot fractal using a spectral color map. Zooming in to find more detail is easiest starting with presets variation 1 & 2. As you zoom in start with the Offset controls. As you zoom in deeper, change to the Fine, Finer, Finest, then Micro controls. To zoom 100 times deeper, click Super Zoom (reduce Zoom to 1 before you do this). To use reduced colors, uncheck Smooth Colors, then pick the Number of Colors. Color Repeat "repeats" the color map for various color effects. The best results in lighting often use low (even .01 or .1) height values and high brightness values in the Lighting tab. Save Presets often when exploring. If you get lost, you can go back!
