Description
Fastshading Mapscript is a fast script for shading either [A] a [Curve Input], or [B] a [Map Input]. The Map Input needs to have an alpha-layer, since the Map Input shading is based on the alpha-channel. Avoid plugging highly detailed map inputs into the mapscript. Clean shapes works much better - you can add more details after the mapscript. The script works like this: It scans the curve or map input horizontally to find shapes which are separated on the x-axis. Objects close to each other will count as a single shape. The [Fast Shading] mode does not utilize any of the shading-sliders.
