Description

This snippet demonstrates an edge-finding method for creation of sketch filters. It also demonstrates one method for enhancing the sketch result. Looking in the filter editor, you can see how it works:1. A Desaturate component converts to black and white.2. The result is Blended with an Inverted copy of itself using the Color Dodge mode. The inverted copy is Blurred, which causes the edges to show.3. A Levels component is used to enhance the sketch result.Step two is what produces the sketch edges. You can experiment by removing the Desaturate component and Levels component.Note: unless the edge adjustment is kept low, the result will not look sketch-like. This is normal. If you want to avoid this problem, you could limit the range of your slider. There are other ways to find edges and/or create a sketch. You can find them in other Filter Forge filters. This snippet is the method I used in the Sketch and Color filter.Version 1.0
