We rewrote image saving procedures in Filter Forge 8.0 to address a popular concern: image metadata were previously discarded when the image was processed in Filter Forge. The need to set back the image DPI after applying an effect was always an annoyance – until now.
Filter Forge 8.0 preserves all EXIF metadata from the source image in the JPG format:
- DPI (print resolution)
- Camera manufacturer and model
- Exposure time, ISO, flash settings and other photo details
- GPS coordinates of the scene
- Any other metadata you had in your original image before processing.
Filter Forge will not add new metadata of its own to your images.
