This thread comes continued fr om this thread here "Could there be a Feature wishlist vote to choose the most wanted ones?"

PLEASE, WHICH FEATURES FROM THE UNOFFICIAL FEATURE WISHLIST wiki ARE THE MOST WANTED BY YOU ???

And also of course, you can choose, suggest and put in the list other things that are NOT incuded in the WIKI feature wishlist.

My idea and suggestion is to make here in the feature wishlist a special thread with the most voted and most wanted features and people could give their votes and this votes would be added to the list.

I know that is difficult to do here as the forum does NOT allow to modify any post but the last one. In other forums you can edit ANY of your own posts, wh erever they are, and so it could be done a list in the first post with the most wanted features and the votes it has got so far, but as said this way is not possible here.

Here is my own first list of most wanted and wished from the wiki

Improve organization of filters (tagging, folders, etc). (High priority for FF 4.0)

Ability to name presets. (Planned)

Floatable/dockable Preview

Component Grouping / Subroutines. (Planned for FF 4.0)

Vector support (including import, fonts, etc). (Planned for FF 4.0)

Redesign of Filter Library infrastructure, possibly migrating from categories to a tag-based system. (High priority for FF 4.0)

Favorite filters folder and be able to cutomize the folders and that hey can be renamed as you choose

Rendering Speed Classification for Library Filter showing on filter details page

Here is my own first list of most wanted and wished from the forum

Improve and enhace the render speed of Filter Forge

Please, Why the filters do not get reorganized and redistributed as it happens with the preset icons ?

Filter list preview much bigger? Filter library inside FF bigger too?

ZOOM to fit in preview screen WHEN using the reduced preview mode ?

Please would it be possible to have MORE previews modes in FF?

Why ONLY two preview sizes, Actual and Reduced ?

Resizable panes

1. Filter Library & Filter storage re-design.

2. Component Grouping that comes with an infrastructure for community online-sharing of custom components, as discussed here.

3. Global Parameter Overrides on a per-component basis.

4. Region-based Gradients
I'd love to have this, but apparently it's on "Ridiculously low priority"

5. Vector support

6. Randomizer Locks

I'm too lazy to read the list.... smile:D
I just read what's here on the thread, and of the coices given, Crapadilla's is closest to mine smile:)
Besides, he's a lvl 52 Filter Weaver and Official "Filter Forge Seer", I'm not gonna argue with him smile:D

In my oppinion, Crapadilla's #1 request (Filter Library & Filter storage re-design) includes Improve organization of filters (tagging, folders, etc) and Ability to name presets.
They should redisign the library and filter storage with these (among other) things in mind.

Here's my TOP 10 FF list, in order of priority:

1) Self Illumination Map, for those of us who use FF for 3d.
Self-Illumination. (Planned) [62][63]

2) Randomizer locks (jeez ppl have been asking for this for a long time.)
Locking controls to exclude them from randomization. (Planned, low priority) [126][127][128][129][130][131][132]

3) Save multiple channels at once. AKA 'Multi channel save.' Ideally,
Export/save multiple render maps at once. (Planned) [70][71]

4) Outer glow node, exactly like photoshop, but based on % rather than pixels.
Outer Glow, similar to Photoshop. (?) [299]

5) Simple batch utility with a GUI. (Some simple tweening would be nice, also.)
Simple keyframing & Batch render. (Command-line batch render is available, but it does not support keyframing) [12]

6) Erosion or weathering processing node.
Erosion. (?) [285][286]

7) Fix Bricks, Pavement, Tiles to also run vertical, to be consistent w/ other nodes. (?) [252]

8 ) Maze generator. (?) [262]

9) Pipes/Tubes generator. (?) [263] (really, just some kind of 'branching thing' would be useful.)

10) Vectors / Font support
Vector support (including import, fonts, etc). (Planned for FF 4.0) [33][34][35]

Oooo... I didn't understand what this was before. Yeah, this would be awesome to have ... especially for incoming images. Could use it to do something like 'Delaunay Rasters'

WOW!!! I did not know about this really beautiful and lovely technique called "Delaunay Raster" !!!!

Could this really be possible to make inside FF if those component were available ?

It would be really interesting and a great thing (at least for me as I like it much) but really do not know if this will happen, perhaps would be better to find elsewhere a way to do this with another software than waiting for FF to be able to make this.

There is more here about this DELAUNAY RASTER TECHNOLOGY

http://jonathanpuckey.com/projects/delaunay-raster/

Like much this

Pretty much all you see here that's being requested = things I'd like to see anyway.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned iterators and feedback components.
