Very good job with v6 of FF. Can't believe how fast it is compared to 5, it's like night and day. Keep up the good work! Now we just need a batch renderer GUI and FF has basically got it all. Kudos!

Best Regards,
AJ

I haven't updated my batch renderer yet to version 6.
I doubt if the added value of version 6 is enough for me personally to justify an upgrade.

Thank you FFCReator for the heads up! I did find a post about this EasyRender but I wasn't sure if it was working with 5 or 6 yet.

Regarding the update to 6, I think it was worth the $50 (or whatever) personally. The amount of time I've waited for maps to build is far greater than a few hours of my freelance rate. This is a huge time saver. I always get the updates regardless because FF is such a great tool, but this latest version is the first one where the benefit is immediately tangible.

If you ever do make your awesome app 6 compatible, I'd donate!

Best Regards,
AJ

I say the update is huge. 64bit has been a long dream of most of us and it's definitely improved stability and render speeds. I say 10% to 30% increase but results may vary based on your hardware. It's less crashy for sure (unless you load some kind of old lua file which is an issue I'd need to report on). It's also the first FilterForge to greenify component inputs which has been also a long time dream. PRETTY GOOD overall. smile;)

FFEasyRender for version 5 is the absolute best.

To be able to batch render overnight was a life saver for me.

Hopefully the author of the program will update to version 6. And I like AJ, would definitely donate for the new FFEasyRender if it is updated to run with Filter Forge Version 6.

Best wishes to all the filter designers here. Keep up the great work.

Paul.

1 - Please, what computer do you have to work with FF?

2 - Could you be so kind to show a comparison difference between render speed in FF 5 and FF 6 using the same filter and settings?

3 - what filters are you using that goes fast now and before was slower?

4 - what output resolution are you using?

Thanks for your help

SpaceRay, you're on a Mac, right? You can try the following:

- Open FF5 and apply Paint HDrtist with any settings to a 5000x5000 image;
- Wait until you lose patience, curse the developers and force-close FF5;
- Apply the same filter in FF6 and compare the result.

OK, you got me; I upgraded to version 6.

Probably, I 'll update FFEasyRender to support version 6 in the near future.
The "release date" depends on if it is a relative easy job or not (the initial release of FF 5 had some bugs regarding the commandline renderer).

I got 1 suggestion from paulcopeland to add an option in FFEasyRender for automatically shut down the computer after rendering has finished.

FFCreator, indeed it would be great to have the option of having the computer shut down after the batch has finished.

I look forward to being one of the first to purchase you updated version.

Best wishes and keep up the great work.

I have updated Filter Forge Easy Render (FFEasyRender) to version 1.1.

Changes from version 1.0 to 1.1:
– support for (64 bits) Filter Forge 6;
– extra option to shut down your PC after the renderjobs have finished;
– some bugfixes.

This update is also free (donationware).

Hi FFCreator

Have you updated your awesome program so that it will do batch Rendering in Windows 10 for Filter Forge version 7?

I certainly hope, so as I am quite willing give a donation.

Hello Paul,

When the first FilterForge 7 beta was available I adapted FFEasyRender.
It was working for me (at least with this version, with Windows 7).

I sent you on 09-06-2017 an e-mail to your Hotmail e-mail address with in the attachment V1.2 beta of FFEasyRender. I asked you to give feedback. I repeated my question on 03-07-2017. I haven't received feedback.

You missed something (e-mail in your spam folder?)? I missed something?

I haven't (yet?) upgraded to FF 7, I removed the FF 7 beta and I 'm still with Windows 7. Can you evaluate the beta with the release version of FF 7 and Windows 10?
