Author: rednicolas. Do not place them from the site for a trial, says: "unable toconnecttotheserver. Please make sure you are connectedtothe internet". Although indicated that the trial version is fully functional. Why is that?
How Filter Submit wizard works? Why it fails to send at the end?
... submit server and it could be working right with FF 4.0 but maybe NOT working with FF 3.0
I can´t test FF 4.0 as my trial has ended.

If theserver is down I wonder how is possible that I CAN connecttothe submit server twice to get the data information for needed for the submit wizard process AND then at the end you can´t submit the rendered filter?
Are there TWO different submit servers? I mean one for the data information of the submit wizard and another ...
Cannot download filters
Author: FemmeDraven. Yep, same thing here, but it says "Connectingtotheserver..." and never does. Then after a minute of waiting, I get a message that says "Unable toconnecttotheserver. Please make sure you are connectedtothe internet." I think if I wasn't connected, I wouldn't be posting here, now would I? Not pleased.

It would be nice if FF would display a Message than mentions the Maintenance and how long it will be out of service. Rather than just displaying a connectingtoserver message that never connects.
Updated to Catalina and FF can no longer connecttoserver
Author: Ade. Hi, I have recently updated to Catalina and Filter Forge can no longer connecttotheserverto check for updates or filters.
It just repeatedly states "Unable toconnecttoserver". I manually went tothe web site and downloaded the latest point update for FF9 just in case that fixed the problem but it still shows the same error....
How to keep filters save... ??
... going through the same router or firewall? are they proxied? are they all on a Lan? if it's not the computers and it's not theserver at FF (because i just tried it and it worked fine) then it's got to be what's going on between your computers and theserver and that means modem, routers, firewalls, isp, other connections/nodes along the route from you totheserver.
did you try a tracert totheserver or to this site?
in the FF 'tools - options - online tab' are you using the 'automatic (recommended)' setting or one of the others?

i tried downloading a filter via IE. same thing. then i made my pc EXPOSED host in the router to disable the routers firewall.
other ideas?

... Filter forge app and then just has the message "connectingtotheserver" but it fails toconnect no matter what setting I use on options, and even if I switch off my firewall completely.
After a while another message appears "unable toconnecttotheserver. Please make sure you are connectedtothe internet"
I am connectedtothe internet fine.
Exactly the same issue as being reported in the Mac thread on the same subject.

Author: C_Viking. I am so glad you mentioned it. I just reinstalled Filter Forge after upgrading to windows 7 and getting the unable toconnecttoserver error. Think there might be an issue with theserver.

I guess we'll have to be a little patient until servers are reset or whatever :-)

This is NOT a problem with Filter Forge software or your computer, the problem is with the message given, that as it can´t connecttotheserver, directly thinks that you are not connectedtothe internet, and does not give any other possible reason, and obviously you ARE connectedtothe internet because you would not have been able to post this here ;) :D unless the problem is with ...
Cant download filters- says I'm not connectedto internet when I am
Author: Cybersparkle. I'm sorry- I meant filter forge in the above message. I only have the browsers Internet Explorer and Google Chrome- both latest versions and it worked ok yesterday. When I try to download the filter, filter forge opens up and the "connectingtoserver" shows, then after a minute or two instead of the filter downloading, it says "can not connecttoserver, make sure you are connectedtothe internet".
