This is beautiful. I'm looking forward to diving into the guts to see how it works. I'll admit I never have really gotten a good grasp on the uses of HDR, but this seems to make good use of the technique and I'm anxious to see how it helps.

HDR is honestly quite an interesting approch to getting that "human perception." Now it's rather become a gimick but still, it's a sophisticated technique that can result in beautiful stuff.

FilterForge's HDR is fun in a way that you can bump values high or low. In fact, you can do negatives which can result in the reversal of the color. That's kinda odd in the sense, but it works if you're doing something that transforms color when something happens. For example, a gem that changes color when light shines through it.

I should write something on it or two instead of blabing on about it in the commentary section.
...........

By the way, I used this filter to generate part of my work: "The Survey of Shapes."
4000X4000 px render. I had to reduce the size for FilterForge.
