Hi All, is anyone having trouble seeing their thumbnails within FFCat? I can only see the first 30 or so thumbs. Everything else after that is missing. Blanks. I can only see them by double clicking each one snd seeing it on my photo in FF. Very time consuming. I'm going to reinstall FFCat but was wondering if anyone knows why this is occuring? Cheers.

FFCat takes the thumbnail from FF's cache. That means you must have the thumbnails rendered in FF before FFCat can show them.
If you download 5 new filters and never let FF render all the thumbs for these filters (by selecting the filter and waiting), FFCat will not have a thumbnail to show you.

Hi Morgantao, that's what perplexes me. The thumbnails are all showing in FF after I download them but they're simply not showing up in FFCat. I'll check through FF's option settings. It's just got me stumped. Cheers.

HI Morgantao, FFCat's Cache folder was empty so I manually copied all the files from FF's Cache folder to FFCat. When I open FFCat, still nothing. not one image. I don't get it. Something else: FFCat's Cache folder shows as empty, but when I click open the folder all the copied files are actually there. I've attached a screen shot. Any suggestions? Cheers.

Have you tried to RELOAD all the filters again?
Perhaps if you reload again the filters it will be able to find the missing thumbnails

Colorblast, copying the cache from FF to FFCat is not gonna do anything. FF's caches are in a custom format, and FFCat interprets it and saves it's own cache as simple JPG files. Also, FFCat only does this for filters from your My Filters folder. All the library filters' thumbnails are downloaded from the internet.
Make sure FFCat has access to the internet, and no Antivirus\Firewall is blocking it.
I was also going to suggest you reload a filter inside FFCat, by clicking it and pressing Ctrl+R. If that works, you should see that filter's thumbnails appearing after a couple of seconds.
Try that several filters, and if it works, press Ctrl+A to select all filters, then press Ctrl+R to reload them. Then every filter you view should have it's thumbnails downloaded after a few seconds.

This is very important to know, as if the FF library filters (the ones downloaded from the online library) does not hasve the thumbnail in FFCat means probably that it could not take them from the internet.
It happened to me once, but this was solved quickly once you reload the filters.

Thanks for that info guys. But this is interesting. The thumbnails have started appearing in FFCat. When I open FFCat's Cache folder, all the FF library files are displayed as JPEG thumbnails. When I open FF Cache folder, the files are ther but not displayed as JPEGs. I've attached a screenshot of the files copied to FFCat's Cache folder. I'm still rather lost as to why. Thanks guys.

It's a bit hard to tell what you're trying to show us when the screenshot is 180x90px, it just won't fit entirely in my screen
Anyway, the FF caches are in a custom format. No application (other than FF and FFCat) can understand the file and make sense of it.
FFCat can interpret the data and save it as JPG files that any program can understand.
