One of the very good and excellent upgrades for FF 3.0 was the adding of additional built-in images so you did not have to always use the Lifesaver.
I showed my happiness in this thread
Built-in preview images of FF 3.0 are really excellent and much better
Here is the thread about this in the Beta 3.0 Forum
FF3.0 Q&A: Built-In Preview Images
Now that we are near from the release of the Beta FF 4.0 I was thinking that would be very good and useful if this feature could be enlarged and add more built-in images that I think would be good to have too.
uberzev suggested in this thread to have also Non-Square built in images, and I agree with him.
USEFUL BUILT-IN IMAGES SUGGESTIONS FROM MYSELF
1 - Have one (or more) non-square image instead of only square images.
2 - Have one (or more) plain textured backgound built-in image
3 - Have one black and white gradient image
4 - Have Two (Male and Female) Human Portraits (or more) so is more easy for some filters to show well
5 - Have one plain white background
6 - Have one plain Black background
7 - Have one plain 50% gray background

Thanks very much

||I think that this new built-in image suggestions could be useful also to show texturing filters that are based on mixing one photo and a texture, and as it is now with the available Built-images you can´t show how this filter could work in the presets as you would be forced to show it with mixing two built-in image which will give a horrible result instead of the good one a texture could give if this could be available as built-in|

||I have been making some tests with a new filter and to show really what the filter can do would be needed to have a black and white built image background to avoid using FF components to make them and be more difficult to configure and would be much easier to test some filters and some components results.|

Don't you think these are very situational? If anything it sounds like you're trying to rely on built-in images to sell an effect. It just sounds like that. Maybe I read you wrong. I donno. Probably some visual clues on what you mean would help.

I think the reasoning behind having more built in images is that some times the effect doesn't show well in the previews on the filter page. Take Pin Up Posters by CFandM for example. It only works well with pictures of people, and none of the previes show how wonderful this filter is.
Adding more preview images may help, if there are enough different kinds of images. Then again, there's no guaranty that even with 20 built in images you will find what you are looking for (In the case of noise\scratch removal filters for example - Unless FF inc includes 'bad' images).

I ask again if it would be possible to have more built in images inside FF4.0.
The above ones are ONLY suggestions of course, and is not needed to have ALL of them, but would be good to have some more (at least 2 or 3 more to have 10 ) than the ones already available.

|Personally I think we have enough preview images. the only thing I could think of that might be useful would be a black and white one.|
