Just had a quick question, looked around the forums a bit and didn't see a definitive answer. I have 2 primary machines I use, one at work and one at home. Does the FF license terms allow for multiple installs? There would only ever be one instance active (since I can't be in two places at once smile:p). Anyway just wondering, I don't want to install on my work pc and have my license rejected or anything along those lines.

Unfortunately our license doesn't permit installing on several machines.

Yes, but Filter Forge would start in the trial mode on the second machine.

Good to know smile:D I have not tried it to install on another computer, but now I know what would happen.

I suposse and think that this is because FF is connected directly to the FF servers and knows very well when the serial number is used stored in the FF registration.

Although perhaps what would be possible is to have Filter Forge 2.0 on one machine and then FF 3.0 on another machine if you already owned the FF 2.0 licence, as this would be ONE machine for each one.

Although thinking about it, probably this would not work if the FF 3.0 is an upgrade to FF 2.0 ?

In a day and age where a lot of people use a combo of computers (laptop / desktop, work / home etc) - it would be great if it at least let the user put it on 2 machines.

What about having ver 2 and now ver 3... could I put ver 2 on my laptop while I keep ver 3 on my desktop? Thanks...

Yeah I have to agree, I think more liberal uses of the program would be great, I mean look at Visual Studio, the license is for the individual not the machine. That's how all licenses should be. The people who want to use it improperly are going to regardless of the actual license in place, so it sucks when paying customers are in a sense "punished".
