First of all I MUST thanks a million to Morgantao for having helped me so much to find this interesting technique that I have been searching for 6 years and could not find, and he pointed me to the right direction telling me that this was called WORD CLOUD
What is a WORD CLOUD ? According to Wikipedia A tag cloud (word cloud, or weighted list in visual design) is a visual representation for text data And another better one could be
I suposse that this definitions does not gives you a clue so the best it to put an example I have done myself ![]() You can customize MANY things, as the text, the frequency, the orientation, the colors, the shapes, the font style, and many others things to build your own WORD CLOUD There are many interesting software available already to make this kind of artistic and beautiful Typographical Collages. Some of them are online application and others that are installed as software. I am making a investigation looking for the best and most interesting software that is available already for making this, and I will put here a list of what I can find. FILTER FORGE AND WORD CLOUDS Is NOT possible to make WORD CLOUDS inside Filter Forge because does not have the elements and components needed to make it possible, does not support text and fonts, does not have control of spacing and tightness which is essential in this. BUT this does not mean that you CAN´T use an already built WORD CLOUD image inside Filter Forge and apply to it any of the thousands filter already available, and customize it as you would like LIST OF SOFTWARE I HAVE FOUND FOR MAKING WORD CLOUDS TAGXEDO Fr om all the ones online utils apps I have found until now the best and with most features and greatest customization and options is http://www.tagxedo.com/app.html Lots of control to play with AND also lets you use ONLY letters or Dingbats and NOT just words as it happens with others. ALSO you can choose from many shapes, multiple fonts, colors, etc.
___________________________________________________________________ WORDAIZER http://www.mosaizer.com/Wordaizer/ This one I have just found it and have not tried it yet, BUT from the examples shown in the website it looks and seems that is as powerful and featured rich as Tagxedo ___________________________________________________________________ WORDLE http://www.wordle.net/ This is more simple than the above, BUT have some things that are also good and perhaps for simple Word clouds could be easier.
Here I found a tutorial for using this WORDLE if you need and want Become a Wordle Power User ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbAN-eV44Ng And also this other one --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhL5D9nz5aI And if you look at the right side, there are many other suggested videos for this app. ___________________________________________________________________ WORD IT OUT http://worditout.com/ This is in some way different to the above ones and have some things and also have the idea to make this word clouds as art to be printed on many daily things you can find.

With Tagxedo you can also make Letter Clouds instead of only Word Clouds as shown here below
For this you have to change the text to lots of single letters and configure the settings to allow letters instead of only words ![]() |
