Congratulations for your Jelly Bean filter !!
You have finally sent it and now it is available. Great !!! There has been a work in progress and "Beta" version available in this thread http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read...0&TID=9285 Thanks very much for converting a suggested idea I made into reality and made so well done and very realistic and artistic I will copy some parts of that thread to this one ____________________________________________________________________ WOW!!! If was already surprised looking at your examples, now that I have made my OWN tests and see the REAL thing I am MUCH MORE impressed and stunned !!! You have a made really great and excellent work !! and the Jelly beans look VERY REALISTIC in my opinion !! ![]() Here is the final whole example, the above one is just a close up detail ![]() The Jelly Bean White tiger !!! Great !!! ![]() Here is detailed close up of the tiger and you can see how well done are the beans distribution and position. Very well done and good work. Congratulations again !! AND ALL THIS IS JUST WITH THE DEFAULT FIRST PRESET without changing any setting !! ![]() A heart of flowers showing that I love this filter ![]() ![]() And here is one close up with more detail to see the well done Jelly Beans Mongoose King of the Jelly Beans ![]()
![]() Perhaps one good source is the Pop Art style solid colors found on some artworks that have also clear and defined borders and lines. ![]() Here is a more detailed close up to see the beans better ![]() |

PREPARING THE IMAGE BEFORE APPLYING THE FILTER ?
Perhaps would be a good idea that if you already know that you want to use this filter, would be good to optimize and customize the image so you could get the most from the filter and be easier to it to position and get good detail. PREPARING THE IMAGE BEFORE APPLYING THE FILTER ? Perhaps would be a good idea that if you already know that you want to use this filter, would be good to optimize and customize the image so you could get the most from the filter and be easier to it to position and get good detail. The idea I think and suggest is to use a simplify filter to reduce the number of colours (there are some in the filter forge library) and then rise the contrast, sharpen much more and could apply a dragan effect (also available in the filter forge library) style to have crisp shapes border. USE THE SIZE PIXEL SETTING TO GET MORE DETAILS AND COLOR SHADES I think also that is very important too to use sometimes the Size Pixels setting to get better results as I have seen in my own test and experiments with many photos, and there can be a big difference adjusting the size pixels settings according to the size resolution of the image AND according to the detail the photo or the image have, as you can better color detection with smaller beans and get a better overall effect. The Bean size is NOT the same as this does NOT readjust and reconfigure all the other beans around as it happens with the size pixels setting, this leaves holes between the beans, although this is not an error, as I think that this is the intention and why this setting is here. Here is the default size with the first preset ![]() And here is exactly the same photo as above with the same first preset BUT have change the size pixels and lowered to one third of the top resolution size. Here you can see much better the shape and shades and that this are Tulips than in the one above with beans bigger. ![]() And even reducing the size they still look good as you can see in this close up detail ![]()
And here is a multicolor example I made ![]() |

I love it!! I can't wait to play with this. Looks like it will be good for terrycloth and needlepoint, as well.
