WOW, really beautifull and lovely ornamented balls with very high quality and very realistic. Congratulations for this excellent quality filter and for the many variations it has.

The golden parts looks really like golden shiny real ones.

I think we could render 5 of this wonderful balls and then use Bombs away filter by CFandM

Thanks very much for this filter

EP died on the 12. of September 2011. Nice ball Inujima smile:) Suggestion: make the metal overlay stuff not flatten near the ball "edges", but bump out istead (like the look you have in the center). I know you can fix that, and I'm interested in the solution smile:D

Whoah dude. This is absolutely gorgeous, I'm a sucker for shiny patterny stuff like that. I really like your cubes filter too, by the way !
Agreeing with everyone else, this should get EP and HU asap.

Edit : I'm looking at the filter's innards and the map scripts' code. Boy oh boy, this is some clever, clever stuff.

YES, very good suggestion, it is true that in the center and around looks really beautifully 3D textured BUT when looking at the edges it becomes flatten and does not follow the 3D bump map, or at least it seems like that.

I also totally agree that this fabulous filter deserves to have a EP, but FF can´t give a HU, it´s only the FF users who can make possible that this gets a HU reward, so download it and use it very much. smile:)

I will challenge this problem.
Although it is difficult to give the completely right reality, I have some ideas about the method of deception. smile:D

Although it is not written to description of this filter, I had used the script almost as it is in Multi-Octave Perlin.ffxml at Here , in order to make 3D noise.

Please, I have one question

Is there some way that I could change and customize the inner graphics texture of the ball ?

I mean if I could use my own textures photos for the inside of the ball.

Could I put the textures using the Filter editor and inserting them somewhere inside the filter construction ? If it is possible, where should I put them ?

Thanks very much

To SpaceRay.
The simplest method is to replace Stone Color Control with your graphic.
Note that input graphic is scaled down to 90% at the output.

Thanks very much inujima, for the information, and great that this can be done and I would be able to use my own textures smile:), By the way this a really very complex filter smile:D

How can I configure the graphic texture to put it inside the filter editor ?

What resolution shuld I put it in ?

Any special advice or recommendation?

Must be the texture totally square and seamless textured ? I suposse that this must be this way to be able to have a ball without borders or seams shown.

<3 Have always loved this one. Gorgeous and great details.

Anyone with more experience know what would need to be done to add a hanger to this to make it a Christmas ornament straight out of FF?

Well, there is already a filter to make christmas balls WITH the hanger that you want and is this one here

Christmas balls by Sjeiti

So, the only thing you have to do is copy the part of the filter that makes the hanger to the inujima´s filter.

I'd thought of that, but honestly there is so much in both I'm not sure what to copy fr om one and wh ere to attach to the other... Would be very pretty as a morph of the two though.

I would make it but I would rather suggest that people use Photoshop and put them together manually instead of increasing render times smile;)

I agree with Skybase, if you do not know what is needed to copy from the other filter (I do not know either) it would be really MUCH EASIER to just use Photoshop (OR Photoshop Elements or just any other graphical program) to just mix the hanger of the ball with the inujima´s balls.

I use photoshop often, and am used to working with very large images, extractions, blending, 3d renders and long render times... just for me would actually be easier to have it render out finished. smile:)

I'll play around with both and see what I can figure out though when I have more time, tomorrow is thanksgiving in the usa and my birthday as well...

Thanks everyone. smile:)
