There is already this great and very well done filter - Stitched Up by Mongoose King
From this idea, I suggested that Now what would be good is to ble able to make a selection in photoshop and that the border or contour of that selection is converted to stitching I am suggesting that if there could be some possible way to make this kind of effect using selections that can be made in Photoshop or loaded as alpha channels in the standalone. For example ![]() ![]()
I have been searching and found some interesting things that are done on photoshop but I do not know if the same could be done in some way in Filter Forge. On Youtube I found this --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mj2zYT9N7oY I really do not know how he uses the brushes, styles and the action, surely you must buy his action to use it. looking for if more "stitching" actions are available I found this page with at least 3 different photoshop actions that make stitching along a selection, contour or shapes. STITCHED STRIPE ACTIONS STITCH IT SETIK See these 3 in thisin this link here Here below you can see a very small preview of what these actions do, and for more, please see that in each one of the links of the website above there is the link to the webiste page with many more full image examples that are interesting to see. ![]() ![]() ![]() NOTE FOR THE IMAGES ABOVE HERE This images are taken from the link above, and they belong to the link that appears on that website, if anyone feels that this is not good to put them here as an example I can ask to GMM to delete them, there is no problem. |

I haven't seen the Youtube video you post, SpaceRay, but I can assure you you daon't have to buy anything to replicate the stitching effects in the pictures.
It only takes a few minutes to set everything up (Brushes, Styles), and then you're good to go. I have made a Stitch action for Photoshop CS2, I just have to find it in my backups... And probably update it to CS5, as Adobe took the effort to change EVERYTHING in the action structure, and left no backward compatibility. ![]() |
