AKA 4 sided polygon where you can choose the location of each of the points.
I've come up with a pretty nifty solution but it breaks when you try to move things around too much. ![]() Quadrilateral Challenge.ffxml |

I just looked at the filter construction.... Dude, you ROCK!
![]() Due to some limitations of FF, I think a script version would be easier to make 'unbreakable'. I have encountered the same problem you have here in some of my attempts for other filters. In this case, you want to limit the X,Y values of a point so it won't cross another point. If nodes could accept math components input, that would have been easy. I had a thread about this some time ago. ![]() |

In a manner of emphasis I would like to further inform the public that this filter has been officially SpaceRay'd

This might be useful (projective/perspective transform):

Since there have been no takers, here's my solution.
Green is front side, red back side. The corners have been named by the color of their dots (red, green, blue, yellow) in the controls. The only sensible way (other than scripting) I could think of was to divide the polygon into two pairs of overlapping triangles so that you can threshold out the unnecessary faces. This turned out to have the additional benefit of separating out the front and the back side of the shape. Quadrilateral.ffxml |
