Some filters have the seamless tiling disabled, and inside Filter Editor there is an option to override the disabled seamless tiling (Filter--> Overrides--> Seamless Tiling) so you can make it available again.

I have tested and this sometimes works right and sometimes do not work, it depends on the filter.

So I want to know if when it works it is safe always, or may be possible that it works, but it may break with some different settings.

I want to submit a filter with this seamless tiling override active and I wonder if there is something "bad" or not recommended when filters that is supossed to have this seamless tiling disabled you activate the override?

I mean that on filters that this works it seems that there is no problem activating it, but if Filter Forge disabled it, could be because there is something I maybe missing and is not clearly visible at first sight or using it normally, and could be not working or breaking the result with some specific settings

SO, When is not recommended to use seamless tiling override option?

WHY SEAMLESS TILING IS DISABLED AND WHEN DO NOT ENABLE IT AGAIN

In Seamless Tiling Help page there is this text

The Seamless Tiling checkbox is disabled for filters that use non-seamless components.

Using Non-Seamless Components disables the filter you are creating

Some Filter Forge components don’t support seamless tiling by design.

Examples of non-seamless components include:

Scale
Rotate
Free Gradient
Free Ellipse
Free Polygon
Free Rectangle.

Any filter that uses non-seamless components will have the Seamless Tiling checkbox disabled.

However, there are two exceptions to this rule.

1 - The Seamless Tiling checkbox may be enabled if the filter author force-enabled it in the Overrides dialog

2 - Or if all non-seamless components in the filter are plugged into so-called 'seamlessizer inputs' – that is, the inputs that can accept non-seamless images without ruining the seamlessness of the result.

Examples of these 'seamlessizer' inputs include:
*the Source input of the Kaleidoscope component
*the Particle inputs of the Bomber and Bomber (HDR) components
*the Color inputs of the Ellipse and Polygon components.

Point 1 means as I see it that the filter may have seamless tiling disabled because the author forced the seamless tiling with the override setting, but how do you really know that it was the author that disabled it and not filter forge? And the author may have disabled it with a good reason and because of something.

Point 2 - So this is mainly the reason for making this thread, I mean that according to this is safe to enable the seamless tiling IF the "non seamless components" have an input of these 3 examples shown above here?

Are there more examples than this 3 examples shown in the text above?
I mean when the seamless tiling can be activated again and does not break and can be used safely

Thanks very much for any help about this topic
